flour.5 T.
baking powder.75 t.
baking soda.5 t.
salt.5 T.
cinnamon.25 t.
cloves.25 t.
nutmeg.25 t.
allspice.25 t.
cardamom mix 2:.25 c.
molasses1.5 c.
light cream1 t.
vanilla 5 c.
butter, softened.5 c.
sugar.5 c.
brown sugar4
eggs1.5 c. shredded coconut
Grease & sugar 3 8" round pans.Mix 1; mix 2.Beat butter till creamy.Add sugars, beat till light &fluffy.Add eggs one at a time, beating well.Alternately add mix 1 & mix 2, beating well.Add coconut.Pour into pans.Bake at 350F till done, about 20 min.Cool.
creamy orange frosting3 oz. cream cheese, softened2 c. powdered sugarfew drops orange extractmilk
Beat cream cheese till creamy.Gradually add powdered sugar & extract.Add milk to thin, if necessary.
candied orange rose1 c. sugar1 c. water1 orange
Make sugar syrup.Peel orange, leaving white on orange.Roll up peel, starting at short end, secure with toothpick.Simmer in syrup till rind turns translucent.Remove, cool.
assembly2/3 c. orange marmalade
Spread inner layers with marmalade.Frost with Creamy Orange Frosting.Garnish.
